Sword Bearer had a dream of a man walking down a tunnel that was made of transparent glass. As the man walked an ominous dark cloud of evil descended around him. As the darkness began to surround him, the man called upon the Lord for protection. The arms of the evil things punched, clawed, banged, and hissed at the man as he walked through the tunnel. He continued to pray as evil shrouded beings with bony arms tried to ram the tunnel again and again to hurt the man. The man continued to walk through the tunnel sometimes cringing at the evil he saw. The evil beings screamed, “we will kill you,” but the man did not listen to the lies being screamed at him, he believed the truths in the Word of God. The dream faded with the man walking in the tunnel unharmed by the evil around him.
As we prayed over the dream, I asked the Lord, “what does this mean? Please interpret it for us. The Holy Spirit led me to Psalm 91. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thy hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. (Psalm 91:1-10)
When we dwell in intimacy with God, we are secure under His shadow. He delivers us, and we are commanded to not be afraid of evil because we are protected by the LORD God our rock, our refuge. The man was walking and could see the darkness, but the evil could not touch him neither can evil harm a child of God. Evil may scream lies that it will kill or hurt you but DO NOT LISTEN to the lies. LISTEN to the Word of God which says no harm will come near you. Evil may put on a frightening show trying to scare you, but it is smoke and mirrors because God delivers those who love Him and call on their deliverer. “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.” (Psalm 91:11-14)
In the dream the man saw the evil, but the darkness could not touch him because he called on the Lord in prayer and God granted Him deliverance. It is a truth in the Bible that God will answer the cries of those who love Him and will shield us under His feathers. God does not take us out of situations, but He protects us in the situations, He is our refuge our fortress, He keeps us from harm. Call upon the Lord for He will answer us when we pray, and we have His promise that He will deliver us. Call upon Jesus He is waiting to hear from you. No situation is too big for our God who sends out angels on your behalf. Call upon Jesus. He never leaves or forsakes us and is closer than the air we breathe. God loves us so very much He sent His Son to die for our sins so we could have a personal relationship with Him. (John 3) He promised in His Word to rescue us, and God never, never, lies. He is waiting to hear from us, and whatever situation we find ourselves in God will listen from heaven and be with us because He loves us so much. Have faith and call on Jesus, He is waiting to hear right now. “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:15,16)
